Your Whole Self
"The key to happiness is to fill your buckets of family, friends, spirituality and purpose.
1. Why this, why now?
I have spent years and continue to try and become a better version of myself. It is my belief that we all have a gift and our purpose on this earth is to find this gift and share it with others. I am still on the path to figuring out what that is for me. I wanted to start by sharing some tools that have helped me in my personal journey to grow. Let me jump right in and explain the Growth Mindset. Everything that happens to us happens for us and provides us with an opportunity to grow - if we choose to look at it as such. Watch this short video to understand how you can adopt the Growth Mindset.

I have left my role as an Associate Owner at a busy pharmacy in order to spend more time with my family. I also want to share the knowledge I have been fortunate to experience through attending retreats on 6 different continents of the world.
The power of Community
I have consciously tried to deepen the relationships I have with friends over the past year. Shifting away from talking about the game last night or the weather and diving into their thoughts and feelings about what they are struggling through. This helps them navigate the challenges and triumphs of life. It is through sharing and opening yourself up a little more than you normally would that you find how similar we all are.
The Grant Study, also known as the Harvard Study of Adult Development, is one of the most comprehensive longitudinal studies ever done. Researchers wanted to answer a seemingly simple question: what makes a good life? The study found strong relationships to be far and away the strongest predictor of life satisfaction. They are better predictors of long and happy lives than social class, wealth, fame, IQ, or even genes.

The power of Compounding
These posts will focus on stimulating the mind, nourishing the body, and feeding the soul. They will share ideas to expose you to ideas and tools that you can use to grow. Many of us know the power of compounding. Big changes happen after you have made many small adjustments. If you read 5 pages a night, you will finish an average book in 40 days. If you can improve by 1% per day, you will be 37% better by the end of the year. Simply put, small changes lead to big gains.
